Human Leukopak for Immunology Research
Human leukopak samples are collected from IRB-consented donors through IRB-approved apheresis procedures. Each human leukopak contains large quantities of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), supporting immune profiling, cytokine analysis, translational research, and cell therapy research applications.
What Is Leukapheresis?
Leukapheresis is an apheresis procedure that separates and collects white blood cells (leukocytes) from a donor’s peripheral blood while returning red blood cells, platelets, and plasma to the donor. The concentrated white-cell product — a leukopak — yields far more peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) than a standard blood draw, which is why leukopaks are the preferred starting material for immunology, immuno-oncology, and cell and gene therapy research. Sanguine collects each leukopak by leukapheresis under IRB-approved protocols from consented healthy and disease-state donors. Learn more in our guide: What Is Leukapheresis?
