Human CD8+ T cells are purified from peripheral blood of IRB-consented donors under IRB-approved protocols. CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes recognise antigen presented on MHC class I and kill infected or malignant target cells directly through perforin and granzyme release and Fas-mediated apoptosis. They are the effector population behind checkpoint-inhibitor response, adoptive cell therapy, and antiviral immunity, which makes them central to oncology and infectious disease programmes. Available cryopreserved, these CD8+ T cells deliver high viability and consistent performance for in vitro and in vivo studies.
CD8+ T Cell Subsets and Phenotyping
Cytotoxic T cell function varies sharply by differentiation state, so most studies require a defined subset. Enrichment and phenotyping data are available on request:
- Naive (CD45RA+ CCR7+) and memory (CD45RO+) compartments
- Central memory, effector memory, and terminally differentiated (TEMRA) populations
- Exhaustion phenotyping — PD-1, TIM-3, LAG-3, TIGIT

Isolation and Purity
CD8+ T cells are isolated from fresh peripheral blood or apheresis material by immunomagnetic selection, then cryopreserved to preserve cytotoxic function. Negative selection is used where an untouched population is required for functional killing assays.
