Healthy Cord Blood
About: Healthy Cord Blood Bags are collected from consented healthy donors at full-term delivery and are available fresh or cryopreserved. These cord blood units provide a rich source of hematopoietic stem and immune cells, making them ideal for studies in hematopoiesis, immunology, regenerative medicine, and cell and gene therapy research.
Healthy Cord Blood Bags
Human umbilical cord blood units collected from healthy full-term deliveries and available fresh or cryopreserved.
Healthy cord blood bags are collected from the umbilical cord and placenta following full-term delivery from consented donors under strict collection protocols. Umbilical cord blood is a valuable source of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs), as well as diverse immune cell populations including T cells, B cells, NK cells, and monocytes.
Compared to adult peripheral blood, cord blood contains a higher proportion of primitive hematopoietic stem cells and immunologically naive lymphocytes. This makes cord blood an important resource for research in stem cell biology, transplantation science, and cell and gene therapy development. Whole cord blood units also allow researchers to isolate multiple cell types—including CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells, PBMCs, plasma, and serum—from a single collection.
Healthy cord blood bags are available fresh for immediate processing or cryopreserved in optimized media to maintain high post-thaw viability. These units provide researchers with flexible starting material for downstream cell isolation, expansion, and functional assays.
