High-Purity Healthy CD3+ T Cells for Immunology and Cell Therapy Research

Healthy CD3+ T Cells are purified from the peripheral blood of clinically screened, IRB-consented healthy adult donors and cryopreserved in CryoStor® CS10 media. These mature T lymphocytes are the principal mediators of adaptive cellular immunity and support T cell biology, cancer immunotherapy, T cell engager potency testing, and TCR-based drug development. Cell counts and purity are reported per lot. Disease-state CD3+ T cells are also available.

What Healthy Donor CD3+ Selection Gives You

CD3 is the signal-transducing core of the T cell receptor complex rather than a marker of a single subset. Selecting on CD3 therefore captures the functional T cell compartment as a whole, which determines both what these cells can do and what donor variables matter.

  • CD3+ isolation yields the total mature T cell pool — CD4+ helper, CD8+ cytotoxic, regulatory, naive and memory subsets, and unconventional populations such as gamma-delta and NKT-like cells — preserved in donor-native proportions.
  • Because the CD3 complex is the target of anti-CD3 antibody stimulation, these cells respond to standard polyclonal activation with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 without further manipulation, making them a reliable effector population for functional assays.
  • Healthy donor T cells are the conventional effector arm for allogeneic cytotoxicity, mixed lymphocyte reaction, and T cell engager and bispecific antibody potency assays, where a non-diseased effector baseline is required.
  • The naive-to-memory balance shifts with donor age as thymic output declines, so age band is a genuine experimental variable rather than a demographic footnote in studies of differentiation or expansion capacity.
  • CMV serostatus substantially shapes the differentiated CD8+ effector memory compartment, which is why serostatus matters when interpreting phenotype or exhaustion marker data across donors.
  • Cryopreservation in CryoStor® CS10, a defined serum-free medium, and isolation within 24 hours of collection support reproducible post-thaw viability and limit the ex vivo activation that confounds baseline phenotyping.
