Why Apheresis Material for Fibromyalgia Research
Fibromyalgia is a central sensitisation disorder rather than a classical inflammatory arthropathy — there is no joint destruction and no diagnostic autoantibody. Research has therefore moved toward small-fibre pathology, neuroinflammation, and subtle peripheral immune signatures, including cytokine and microglial-mediator profiling and emerging work on autoantibody transfer models.
