Our Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) Bone Marrow Mononuclear Cells is a hematopoietic tissue sample isolated by density-gradient separation from bone marrow aspirate, capturing the full spectrum of marrow-resident hematopoietic stem, progenitor, and precursor cells that peripheral blood samples do not contain. Samples are sourced from IRB-consented donors clinically diagnosed with CML, a myeloproliferative neoplasm driven by the BCR-ABL1 fusion gene.
CML Biology and Why Bone Marrow
- CML arises from the BCR-ABL1 fusion oncogene originating in a pluripotent hematopoietic stem cell within the bone marrow, giving rise to unchecked myeloid proliferation.
