Each sample is processed and frozen within 24 hours of collection to preserve circulating renal biomarkers and inflammatory mediators relevant to disease pathophysiology.
DKD Biology and Why Serum
- Chronic hyperglycemia drives glomerular hyperfiltration, mesangial matrix expansion, and podocyte injury, producing progressive proteinuria/albuminuria and a gradual decline in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).
