Arthritis Serum for Rheumatology Biomarker Research

Our Arthritis Serum is sourced from IRB-consented donors with a clinically confirmed arthritis diagnosis. Each sample is processed and frozen within 24 hours of collection to preserve acute-phase proteins, cytokines, matrix turnover markers, and antibodies. Serum is acellular, so it is used here for soluble-analyte work. Every donor’s specific diagnosis is annotated, because “arthritis” is not one disease.

Which Type of Arthritis Do You Need?

Arthritis is a family of mechanistically distinct conditions that share a joint as their target, and the serum analytes that matter differ completely between them. This page deliberately does not claim a single mechanism. Choose the cohort that matches your target biology:

• Rheumatoid arthritis — systemic autoimmune disease; rheumatoid factor and anti-citrullinated protein antibodies are measurable in serum, alongside TNF- and IL-6-driven acute-phase response
• Psoriatic arthritis — seronegative immune-mediated spondyloarthropathy with a distinct IL-17/IL-23 axis; RF and ACPA are characteristically absent
• Axial spondyloarthritis — HLA-B27-associated axial and entheseal inflammation, also IL-17/IL-23 dependent
• Osteoarthritis — degenerative rather than autoimmune; cartilage matrix degradation and bone remodelling products rather than autoantibodies
• Gout — crystal-induced; serum urate and NLRP3/IL-1β-driven inflammatory mediators
• Systemic lupus erythematosus — immune-complex and interferon-driven disease with articular involvement; ANA and anti-dsDNA serology
