What we supply
Whole blood, serum and plasma, PBMCs, leukopaks, and isolated immune cell populations — CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD19+ and CD56+. Beyond peripheral blood: synovial fluid, cerebrospinal fluid, skin punch biopsies, bone marrow mononuclear cells and cord blood.
Every specimen type is available from healthy donors and from patients with clinically confirmed disease, with age- and sex-matched healthy controls available for case-control designs. Everything is supplied for Research Use Only.
Whole blood
EDTA, sodium heparin or citrate — drawn and shipped same day.
Serum & plasma
Single-donor or pooled, aliquoted to spec.
PBMCs
Cryopreserved, from healthy donors and diagnosed patients.
Leukopaks
Apheresis-collected mononuclear cell products.
Ethical and regulated biospecimen sourcing
Every collection runs under an IRB-approved protocol. Consent is captured electronically in a 21 CFR Part 11–compliant system, and donor data is handled under HIPAA. Consent documentation, IRB protocol summaries and certificates of analysis are available on request, and for regulated programmes we can support deeper record pulls.
A specimen with a defect in its consent chain is not a bargain at any price. It is a finding waiting to surface in an audit, usually at the least convenient moment.
Three things worth asking any supplier, including us
- Can they produce the consent document for the specific lot you are buying, not a generic template?
- Does the consent cover commercial research use, or only academic?
- If the study is heading toward an IND or CTA submission, will the documentation package survive inspection?
How to evaluate a biospecimen supplier
Price per vial is the easiest number to compare and the worst predictor of whether a study succeeds. A cheaper lot that fails your inclusion criteria costs a re-order and a month.
| Criterion | Why it matters | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Diagnosis verification | Self-reported conditions introduce silent variability into your cohort | "Are diagnoses confirmed against medical records?" |
| Clinical metadata depth | A vial without context is a sample of unknown relevance | "What data ships with each lot?" |
| Lot-level transparency | You should see donor detail before you buy, not after | "Can I see per-lot donor data before ordering?" |
| Stock depth | Partial cohorts stall studies mid-flight | "How many vials of this exact lot exist?" |
| Custom capability | Off-the-shelf inventory rarely matches a real protocol | "Can you collect to my specification?" |
| Longitudinal recall | Treatment-effect work needs the same donor again | "Can you re-draw this donor in three months?" |
| Consent scope | Academic-only consent blocks commercial use | "Does the consent cover commercial research?" |
| Documentation | Regulatory submissions get inspected | "Will this package hold up to FDA or EMA review?" |
Procurement and purchasing
Purchase orders and credit card are supported, and quotes can be generated directly from the catalog for procurement sign-off without waiting on a sales cycle.
In-stock lot pricing is visible in the catalog before you commit. Cost depends on specimen type, volume or cell count, how rare the donor condition is, and whether the lot is in stock or collected to order — so a quote is specific to your request rather than a starting point for negotiation.
We ship worldwide and can provide the export, import and customs documentation your institution requires.

When the catalog does not have it
Send the inclusion and exclusion criteria — disease state, treatment status, biomarker profile, demographics, volume, timepoints — and we scope feasibility, timeline and cost at no charge. Collection timelines are confirmed with the quote.
This is the part of the model that a reseller cannot replicate, and it is usually why teams move to us in the first place.
More detail on scope, timelines and specimen types is on our biospecimen collection services page, and a side-by-side view of every specimen type is on our human biospecimens for research page.
